It was a hot summer afternoon. Jared had just left his mom's house after lunch with some tasty prime rib leftovers. Within 15 minutes

too short of a time for him to have gotten homehe called to tell how the leftover prime rib saved the day with a dog with soulful eyes that he found on the side of the road in Pleasantville. It looked like the dog had been hit by a car and had scars and bite marks on his body. His tan and white coat was matted with blood and open cuts. But he still didnt trust enough to go with the young man who stopped for him. But the prime rib was enough. Jared sat on the side of the road feeding him pieces of meat until the injured dog would go with him. He took him to the local 24 hour vet for care. The dog had no microchip and no collar. Jared named him Hemi after the truck he drove.

That was 3 years ago. Hemi is now about 5 years old. His scars have healed but now he has a broken heart. In a twist of fate no one could see, his dad passed away a month ago. Gone is his happy wag of his tail that his daddy is home to feed him, play with him, take him for rides in the truck along with his other fur baby rescue housemates, Bella and Meatball. The other dogs have been rehomed. Hemi cries a lot now. Hemi needs a family to love him.

Hemi is people and dog friendly, crate trained, house-broken, eats once a day, knows basic commands (sit, down, stay, easy, kennel up), loves to run in a yard and play ball. He has a sweet personality and loves to play.
